Ascend California - Director of Fun

Zoe BlackZoe Blackmon (AKA your favorite Ascend Staffer) is entering her third summer with Ascend and attends Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. She competed on their Speech and Debate team for all 4 years of high school where she specialized in interpretation events. During that time, she grew a love for the administrative side of the activity. She has championed mental health causes on her team and at her school. She has focused on helping students find their way in a highly competitive activity by helping her coach implement drills, exercises, games, and events that helped students find the fun of speech & debate. She understands that you can't be competitively successful without having a healthy dose of fun. In conjunction with this, she has a passion for photography and hopes to help Ascend by capturing the highlight moments of the summer. As the Director of Fun, she will serve as a jack of all trades and will BRING THE ENERGY SO BE PREPARED. With that being said, she is most excited for trivia night!!!
